About me
Maulik Patel, M.D. is a board-certified physician who specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He evaluates and treats patients with a variety of conditions affecting their breathing and those with other chronic lung conditions. Dr. Patel is the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. Dr. Patel also serves as the Chair of the Critical Resuscitation Committee and participates in various quality improvement projects/committees at Lancaster General Hospital.
Dr. Patel has a special interest in endobronchial ultrasound and electro-navigational bronchoscopy.
Dr. Patel was born and raised in Surat, India and has been a resident of Lancaster County since 2009 when he joined Pulmonary Associates of Lancaster. He is an owner and partner in the practice. He is also a delegate on the Massachusetts General Hospital PERT Consortium.
Dr. Patel is the founder of the non-profit organization South Asian Association of Lancaster (SAAL) which performs volunteer work through the Lancaster community. Dr. Patel is currently an advisory board member for SAAL.
Dr. Patel played sports throughout his school years, including cricket, table tennis etc. In his free time, he likes to listen to music, coaches and plays cricket, likes to watch football, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Patel lives in Lititz with his wife and children.
